This article is one fine example of how the pen can be mightier than the sword - and I'm sure it does not stop here ... :)

Thank you so very muchly 🫶 ~ 'mightier than the sword' is quite an acclaim to live up to. Meanwhile, great (+ mighty?) cookies are in the alchemical cauldron, as you know ~ bubbling and gestating to be served in the New Year 💞

Thank you. I learned more here than anywhere on all things gender. Thanks for the journey through the words and their meanings. Bless you 🙏❤️

Thank you so much for your feedback Jamie! I learned as much through the journey of writing and researching this word, which has re-gen-eration written into its DNA! It deepened my understanding not just of the word but of fellow humans who are struggling with 'gender-issues' and 'gender-identity'. It's a big and tough one!

This post en-gender-ed some meaning in the words, and in the spaces between. Thank you so much for being you. 🙏❤️

At the coffeeshop this morning my barista was a non-binary person and when they asked what else I'd like, I felt led to ask (Lieu of my usual love joy and world peace,) for the left and the right to come together and stop all the war and hate on both sides. They said, "I think a good place to start is kindness. But that's hard when some people don't think I'm a human being." I offered her an airhug and the convo continued, broadening into talking about indigenous history and how the Black Lives Matter movement (apart from the rabbit hole of that particular group's funding/abuse of funds/lack actual impact on communities of color) didn't address indigenous rights at all, and how it is possible to support a woman's right to choose with abortion AND all human being's right to choose about how we breathe and what gets into our bodies needle-wise or through any delivery system.

Thank you for sharing!

"some people don't think I'm a human being." ~ UNBELIEAVABLE!!!

Where we live in Central Portugal, in the foothills of the Serra da Estrela, we are so sheltered from all this crap. It makes me feel sick, just reading and imagining these struggles of fellow humans, imposed by other fellow humans.

The Portuguese are not 'politically correct', they speak their minds, but they are very accepting of the diversity of human specimen (of course they also have their strong views on how things are done etc.) but generally, as a people, they are still very much connected with the heart, and with their land. I think the two go together.

Hugs to you and your barista beautiful human kin. 💕

I would be very comfortable in a culture like that...I feel most comfortable with love and also people saying what they intend and intending what they say from the heart, free of political correctness and full of genuine love.

What a deep dive - and courageous! It is a delight to know people who can have a whole view - that can be embracing/accepting as well as critical of abuses that often get shoved under the rug by those who only want to promote the rosy side of politically charged issue. https://www.simplypsychology.org/david-reimer.html

Thank you, Alicia. And thanks for the link! It's such a terrible and tragic story (in the name of 'science'). But the only way out is through...
