Thank you for this! I love how you reveal the hallow all around us in the understanding of meaning. One letter at a time changes scared to sacred. Fear to Love. Mastery to Mystery. You Veronika bring these words back to their truth. In doing so you help us find our way back to our own truth. Blessings! Happy Samhain 🙏❤️🎃

Thank you for making/ recognising that connection: scared to sacred = fear to love.

Happy Samhain to you 💕🙏 🕸️

Nice atmosphere you created here, Veronika. It is incredible how one letter can change the whole meaning of a word, and that word holds the power to shape our lives, connections, and creations. I am in awe of how words can influence us so much and the way they create a story around everything we touch or try to understand.

Geometry: I adore everything you've written as a representation of this word. Language has healing and sacred properties. Thank you for this space in which we can contemplate the many ways and perspectives regarding how we use words, being aware of how we can diminish their power or change their meanings.

The work you do is important, I now meditate on the sacredness of life and the geometry inherent in all forms of being. 🙏

Thank you, dear Katerina ~ I know. Words themselves are incredible creations... and incredible creatures.

It has only been since I started writing these posts for Substack that I have begun to realise what that means, and what the implications might be...

I wrote a bit about that in one of my early wordcasts last year, "The Wild Motherword"

Thank you so much for your appreciation, feedback and support 💕🙏 🕸️

Hi Veronika, thank you for reminding us the need to honour what is sacred in all of us. 🙏

Hallowed as wholeness and health, now that is something wonderful!! “those hallowed ghosts will keep coming back and offer flying lessons.” Thank you for this glorious excavation. Reminds me of the Australian film Babadook, where the protagonist must befriend the horror and pain of her grief. Then and only then will the haunting reveal itself as healing.

How interesting! I just checked out the story of the film Babadook. It's not the genre of film I can watch (although I don't have a problem befriending the horrors and pain of real life).

I think the makers of this film understood some profound principle of healing.

Thank you so much for sharing 🧙 🙏 🎃

Oh yeh, it’s definitely more of a psychological thriller!

I feel like a lot of holidays/holy days, have lost their way in modern times. They have, indeed, gone from the sacred to the scary! Nightmare-ish, really. I hope we find our way back, or evolve into something that honors that we seek and need in our everyday lives. Amazing essay, as usual, Veronika! 🙏

The mind of humans, with some exceptions, is not only a place of scary thoughts and ideas, but also scarred by years of such thoughts and ideas put to destructive and terrible use.

This, no doubt, keeps the wheels of fear and hate turning, often leading to more sanctimonious humbug.

oh, 'sanctimonious' ~ what a great word to throw into this witches cauldron! Thank you Perry 🖤 🙏 🤍

Hallowed, holy, health, healing - all sacred acts tying Earth to Sky, and us to Heaven. Holy powers.

The powers-that-be have turned this sacred geometry into scary phenomena. Keeping us frightened of our holy powers.

That is how they maintain control over us.

On this week of sacred acts--taking the power of our self-determination into our own hands--it is so helpful that you have reminded us that the fear is only in our minds.

We have the power to invoke the sacred inside us to create a tomorrow that respects the hallowed and reveres our capacity for healing and wholeness--holiness.

Thank you, Veronika!
