Whew! So much in there! Free Will requires us to look at the results rather than the intention of something done by our Free Will.

"Free Will doesn’t impose his own agenda onto anyone. Nor is he dependent on repeated reassurance or eternal approval from the outside."

Another excellent and thoughtful essay on clarifying the merits of Free Will, and in particular what its essence is, which I view as coming out of love, respect and relationship. I would also like to think that Free Will does not impose his agenda on Nature.

I am also amazed about the meaning of free as gratis, coming from gratitude! I observed that so many things are being considered not worth anything when they are free. We are so used to put value on things when this is indeed a very subjective experience. 🙏

Oh Veronika, this is truly amazing! The timing couldn't be better as I just pondered some of these questions. I wholeheartedly agree with your approach. It is indeed hard to speak of free will when our mind is conditioned with all kinds of beliefs. For me freedom and Love (unconditional, I always capitalise the word cause I'm not talking about romantic love) are the same. If I can be unaffected by my outer circumstances or at least know how to soothe my nervous system I truly feel free. I just had the biggest aha about my hangups around the topic money though, thank you for this! Mind-blowing. Amazing. I wonder if free has two e's for depicting the balance. Two sides. Wholeness. 💕🙏

This struck me, "the words free and will both appear in our anatomy" and that science cannot locate consciousness in the brain or body.

Or that free will is a hotly debatable topic.

And I love your answer to the question, What is free will?

Free will as a character reminds me of when I made Time a character for my end of term Shakespeare paper in college. I saw him as a young man in a colorless body suit. What does Free will, the character, look like to you? He strikes me as a messy fellow. 😉

Your examinations feel like intricate collages that reveal the unifying picture only when we zoom out and see everything in interaction with everything else. Magnificent and exhilarating to feel it all resolve together!

I’ve been away for a couple days and I got to this a little later than usual. It’s a beautiful write up. I love the history of where the words and phrases came from. I love to see where free will resonates with that spirit that connects all of us. Free will sounds like a lovely elder and a journey all in itself. Into the now of here. Bless you. Thank you Veronika!

For too long the notion of Free Will has been disembodied from its deeper, wider and richer context -- and then set to the task in typical anthropocene manner as an endless going-nowhere debate of "Free Will versus Determination"; another one of the anthropocene's many distortions and distractions. But here in this posting justice is done with Free Will by placing it in the world of Synchronosophy. One small step .. but one giant leap ... 💜
